Sources for Christopher Latham, c. 1727-1797?

I am currently trying to trace back further the lineage of Daniel Latham Garlick, born circa 1772 to Reuben Garlick and L(?) Latham. I am finding conflicting information as to whether the mother is Lucy Latham or Lydia Latham. In either case, she was born approximately 1747. Ancestry attempted to flag Lucy/Lydia's parents as Christopher Latham, born circa 1727 in Groton, CT and Jemima Billings, born circa 1731 in Stonington CT.

I am hesitant to assume Christopher and Jemima Latham are her parents. Firstly because they would have been very young (though this was not uncommon in that era). Secondly, because I cannot locate even one reputable source that notes the existence of Christopher Latham or Jemima Billings, or lists any of their supposed children.

So, after that long-winded introduction, I am essentially request one or both of two things: 1, reputable records concerning the lives of Christopher Latham and Jemima Billings or 2, records concerning the parentage of Lydia/Lucy (Latham) Garlick.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi Nina, the FaG link goes to an entry that has no headstone, so, that means it cannot be used as a primary source. I have been looking on Findmypast, but so far, no luck.
