Drop down menu dwell time

Question

Is it possible to delay the amount of time before the drop down menus disappear if your mouse strays off the menu, or overshoots the suggestions item at the bottom of the list? Or make it so that the menu stays on, until you click off it, like nearly every other application?

It's really frustrating, especially as the menus are quite long and I often end up going back to the top. Perhaps my fine motor control is not as good as everyone else?

I thought my "fine motor control" was pretty good until I started dealing with those dropdowns, so I'm on board with you on wishing for a wee bitty bit more time to get to where I need to.  :)

It's not so bad on the laptop, but if I'm on my tablet it is more of a problem because I also need to scroll it while staying on target.

I would hate to do it on a mobile device.  

(My tablet is a 12" (?) windows whatever (hubby bought it a couple of years ago (now, in 2019, it has become a couple of years)).  The laptop is a Dell something (I "inherited" it when hubby died last year), because it's newer than my Toshiba.)

I think if you keep the cursor on the drop down it holds it open and you can go up and down the menu. Once you wander outside the menu it is off!

My experience is on a desktop Apple, using a touchpad or a mouse.

When we created the pull-down menu some years ago, we avoided using Javascript. Now we use JS all over the site. Using it on the menu would give us a lot more control.

Jamie, please add a menu reorganization to Trello. We will probably want to add a second level at the same time.
