Based on the Pate DNA Project, I am proposing that one of the following gentlemen is the father of Abimelec Pate, James Pate, born circa 1750 in North Carolina; Thoroughgood Pate, born 1780 in North Carolina; Zacheus/Zachariah Pate, born around 1785 in North Carolina. The other two gentlemen are his uncle's. Also,Rev. William Pate, born circa 1769 in North Carolina is,most likely, Abimelec Pate's great uncle.

There does not seem to be a question in your statement.  These are 3 new men to the other 3 you have added to his profile as his father which makes 6 men as possible father to Abimilec.  As there is no paper trail thus far to prove Abimilec Pate's ancestry, this is all speculation and unfortunately I would say there is not going to be an answer to this question.

If anyone can find the paper trail, it will be you or me. We are the only ones that seem to be able to find hidden paper trails. I love you, cousin.
Hello cousin. I looked for census records that would prove who really is his father. The 1790 census for Georgia was destroyed during the War of 1812. So,the only paper trail that we can even look for is a church record or tax record. Hopefully, there might be a will or two laying around in Georgia.
