Did this John Savage ever live in Portsea, Hampshire, England?

Question

My John Savage was married to Marg'T. Savage. They had two daughters I am aware of, Jane and Ann. Jane's christening date was 23 Dec 1797 at St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, England.

If you have more information I would appreciate any help you can give me.

2-6 hours by horse and wagon,dirt roads,and not straight,to go 21 miles it

might have to go 40 miles.When researching this far back,print map of towns

and villages and watch to make sure not to far away.

24 1773.England marriages 1538-1973.

William Savage that married Elizabeth,her maiden name Elizabeth Mason.

They married june 28 1713 ,Andover ,Hampshire.

20 if a person born 1800 subtract 20 and that will be about when his father born.
