Adoptions in South Africa by British around 1909 - Turner13113

+1 vote
Reuben Walter Turner (1908 - 1930) was adopted by my great grandparents when my great grandfather worked in South Africa from around 1902 to approximately 1910.  I know from my grandmother that Reuben was adored by the family and was greatly missed when he passed away in a motorbike accident.

I'd like to find out if he had family and if they knew where he was taken to.  The only record of his adoption I have is an inward passenger list for the Moravian, coming from South Africa to Plymouth UK on 20th May 1909 which mentioned my great grandmother, some other family members and infant Reuben, aged 8 months old.

My question is, how to I find more information about infant Reuben?

Hi Jodie, you might like to add Adoption to the tags on your question so it will get the Adoption Angels attention.
