How to sub-categorize a County's cemeteries by twp, city, etc.

That's not subcategorizing; it's sorting.

Subcategories are tagged with the parent category so that it shows up in the list of subcategories on the category page.

Natalie, I'm intending to add about 100 cemeteries to Grundy County, Missouri - I have the list, locations, and listings of "residents" from another cemetery records source I maintain. I think I would like to sort them by Political Township or Populated place within the county.
Great! If you use townships as locations, please name the category in this way:

[[Category:Cemetery Name, XXX Township, XXX County, State]]. If you use a populated place, [[Category:City/Town/Place, State]]. The parent categories (Should be two):county cemetery category [[Category:XX County, State, Cemeteries]] and location category.
