Here is a picture of my great grandmother Margaret Warden and her classmates at McIndoes Academy in Barnet, Vermont, September 1916.

The photo is fully identified but very few of the subjects have WikiTree profiles.  So if anyone wants a challenge, have at it!

Here's a photo of my great grandfather Wayne Gilbert Benedict and others in front of the Brookfield School in Brookfield, New York, where he taught for a few years. It was probably taken sometime between 1906 and 1908.

Class Photo Taken by George W Holden in Plymouth, Devon, England, before 1900. One of these students is most likely my great grandfather Fernleigh Joseph Stephens (1891 - 1964).

The teachers at Anderson Street Elementary School - second from left is the principal, my Great Grandmother Gertrude Ford.

Emily my dad taught at that school around 1957 - 1966. We lived in Bristol from 1959 till 1966 when we moved to Athens, Tennessee. We passed every day and lived near the Bristol raceway track.

This is a picture from 1945 of the 7th Grade students, Class 4, Room 12, Tweedsmuir Middle School, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.  My mother is the second from the right in the second row.

52 Photos - Week 3 - Schools. I would like to highlight my Aunt Zenith (Morrison) Hess [Morrison-10272]. Aunt Zenie was a school teacher in Momence, Illinois, it seems like forever. If you talk to anyone, they had her as their teacher, and they loved her very much.  When I posted the below pictures on my history page on Facebook, there were so many comments, I was amazed. She was an astonishing woman.

New Central School was built in 1870. This is the school that Aunt Zenie taught 3rd grade in.

My mom taugh school for many years. She is now 92 and some of her little first graders are still in touch her.

They don’t build school like that anymore. No beauty, just severe functionality now.

This was at Dartford Grammar School (Kent, England) in 1937.  My father, being a methodical sort of man :)  labelled all the cast, which is very useful so many years later.  The play was "The Tempest".

It looks as if the photo is too large - it is refusing to show it all :(  And I can't delete.

I edited your post so the image displays better. If you click the image icon while the image is selected you can edit various things such as the pixel width for the display. (But if you had trouble with this, it could have been because the image file itself is so large and therefore everything is slow to load.)

This is a photo of the McGee School, Paw Creek, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, about 1901. You can see my grandfather's writing on the photo as he tried to remember all his schoolmates, most of whom were related to him. Grandpa is on the front row, far right, unidentifiable except to himself. He was about 12 years old.

This photo is one of my favorites. My great-grandmother Evaline Powell and her siblings and cousins apparently attended a one room school in Nebraska called Happy Corner School.  Here they are on May 23, 1912. 

Evaline is the little girl on the left with a mark over her head. She looks quite a bit like my own daughter when she was four or five. (My daughter is eight now, so she looks quite a bit like her now too. )

This is my first time participating in the challenge. I'll see if I can keep up!

Hm. Well, here we go - I'll try to figure this out. Our photo is of my husband's grandmother (Kinsey-1558) Inza Hazel Kinsey, in the year 1900 in her schoolroom in Oakland, Iowa. She is in the front, in the row on the right.  We were so surprised by how many students are in the class, and how large the room was!

Okay. I can't get the picture to show up in this preview correctly. :/ But in the gallery it looks great!

Here's a photo of the West Virginia University Football team, taken sometime between 1910 and 1913. My great grandfather, John MacRae, 1881-1963, is in this photo, as person number 5. 

For the record, I was not the one who marked people in the photo with numbers! Not sure who did.

To say my grandpa wasn't fond of school would be an understatement.  However, his proudest achievement in high school was making the varsity baseball team.  I posted a picture of him in his letter jacket along with his stepfather, whose name he took as a small child: https://www.wikitree.com/photo/jpg/52_Photos_Week_3_School-12

About a year later, he would be in the US Army Air Corps, serving mostly in France.

I couldn't make up my mind between two photos. The first is probably all the students and faculty at the Mitchel High School in 1904.

The second is of the graduation class out of that group of students. This is my mother's mother's graduating class, Merle Rowley (Rowley-1050). She graduated as a teacher. It was in Mitchell, Davison, South Dakota.
