For the life of me, I cannot get this photo to appear within the answer. So, I'll just add a link. My dad's class picture in grade school in Christiansburg, Virginia. He's in the 2nd row, 6th child from the right, the very blond boy with the shy tilt to his head. It was 1932 and he was 7 years old. Grades 2&3, Christiansburg, 1932.

Ah, my dilemma of which photo to use, so I'll use both.

The first is my grandfather, Peter W. Stoner, who taught math and astronomy from about 1913, first at Pasadena High School, then at Pasadena City College, both in Pasadena, CA, and finally at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, USA, to about 1958. This is his photo from the PCC yearbook, 1939. I imagine there may be some of his past students still around, or their kids.

The 2nd photo is my great uncle, Ira Forrey, (Peter's brother in law, and roommate from Kansas Christian College) who dropped out of college a number of times before finally graduating with a degree in Agriculture from Oregon State University in 1928, at the age of 39.

My 9th Grade Class. This school was originally a high school, built in 1910, at 7th and Walnut in Hutchinson, Kansas. Several people graduated from there, including my late friend's father, Jack Banta, Brooklyn Dodgers' pitcher, 1947-1951.
Central Junior High has been torn down, and it is now an empty lot.

Catherine Simon, class of 1931. Catherine was one of about 10 graduates of the first class of York Catholic High School, York, PA. This was the first class to complete four years of the new York Catholic High School. Previously the school had been St. Mary's Commercial School, of which her husband Cletus Hunt-13293 was a member of the class of 1926.

In 1957 York Catholic broke ground to build a newer and larger school which is still there after 60 years.

I went to grade school, not sure if it was 4th or 5th grade, in the same building where my grandmother graduated from.

My father graduated from Baldwin High School on Long Island NY in 1940. There were a number of people from his graduating class and a few years either side who still lived in the area 60 years later and would get together once a month for breakfast "reunions." They continued to meet until about 2013.

Here is a photo of Redkey, Indiana school students.This is my mother's (Martha Jane Barnell) 10th year class (1942-1943). The teacher's name is Mr. Snyder. I don't have any other names.

As a 23 year-old, my grandfather Henry Atkins was sent to teach at Tallandoon, Victoria, in 1891. The following year he recruited one of the older girls Maria Ellis to teach sewing to the younger children. This picture taken about 1892 shows the 17 y-o Maria standing beside the teacher. The following year they were married. Maria was number 5 of 11 children, and no doubt many of her younger siblings are also in this photo

Henry was in a bit of bother when he asked Maria's father for her hand in marriage. "Why don't you want to marry Alice? She's older, and available." But Henry persisted in his quest and married 18 year old Maria. Their first child was born eleven months after the wedding.

Burr & Burton Academy (Manchester, VT) Senior Class of 1937.  My grandfather, Roger Griffith, is in the back row, standing in front of the door on the right. 

I tried searching for the other names to see if I could tag anyone else, but didn't find any.

My first school photograph, aged 5 years. The school was the ground floor Dining Room in Shalstone Manor (see in the background) I am sitting on the low wall around a raised pond with a fountain. Loved the few years I was there. My younger sisters joined me there, while my older sister went to the Junior School in the next village of Westbury

We lived in a small village at the time, so all ages were in the same room.

Here is a picture of my grandmother who was a fourth grade teacher pre-teacher certification. When they asked her to step down in the late 60s early 70s because she did not have a teaching certificate, she went to school to get one at age 60.
