What evidence do you have that this Aaron Brooks had a son named Simon? And what is the source of Simon's birth at Petersham?

research by lance and ginny miller from sep 2009.  aaron and brother stephen moved to New Ipswich and Rindge after Aaron's first wife died.

Aaron had married a Polly (mary) Austin in westminster, ma est 1785.  Polly died Est 1795 in Westminster and is buried in Triangle cemetery in Lincoln, ma.  Meanwhile , Simon Brooks married Sara Littlefield in 1813 in Colraine, Hampshire co ..  by 1818 moved Brookes and little fields to chandlers valley Pa

I can find a marriage of an Aaron Brooks to a Polly Austin - however this marriage took place in Hollis, NH in 1804, many years after this Simon was born.

And  according to her death record Mary (Taylor) Brooks (Daughter of Thaddeus and Bridget, died in 1871 in Rindge - buried in Lincoln, MA .

I think mr Miller got Mary Polly Austin confused with Aaron junior.  I don’t have the record with me(mom’s research).  Dexter Gleason Brooks had talked about his father (Simon) and his grandfather Aaron.  Chris Brooks from tributaries shows Simon as son to Aaron(1765)....

Children listed in biography are: Aaron, Cyrus, Thomas, and Alvan. While Simon is listed as half brother of Aaron with no mother, and only one source. I would suggest that Simon needs much more research, and a definitive connection to the family of Aaron Sr.. Clearly they are connected due to the same DNA descendant, but perhaps he had a different Brooks father?
