Name search only sort by first given name

Question

If you choose "alpha order" sort for a family name the list is only sorted by the first given name. This is not much use when looking at older French-based regions where most girls were baptised with Marie as a first name. For an example see this search for Savy and scroll down to Marie. Would it be so hard to add the other given names as a secondary sort?

So you want to be able to sort by "Preferred Name"?

No, by First Name (as currently done), and then by Middle Name(s).
