Do you have an approximate date of death? Perhaps town of birth?  Common name and not yet seeing anything with a MJ Brooks married to a Sheen.

Mary Jane (Brooks) Sheen died in 1929 at Mountain View (Kiowa County), OK. She was born in Limestone County, TX, Dec. 25, 1857 (others say 1859 or 1860, but I think the 1857 date is best).

Do you know about when Walter was born?  And where and when Mary Jane died?  I can only find Mary Jane/Jennie starting with her marriage.  (Probably exactly what you’ve found so far.) The 1880 census says her mother was born in Tennessee, father in Mississippi, 1900 census says both born in Mississippi.  She's also listed as white on every census.

Don't know when Walter Brooks was born. Mary Jane died in 1929/1930 in Mountain View, Kiowa County, OK. Family tradition says she was Native American.
