I looking for the parents, however, I am unable to find them, I've used all my methods and would like a second opinion.

I've searched FamilySearch and Ancestry, With different names like; Lewis, Louis, Braddock, Bradock, Braddick, Bradick.

Any help is appreciated. :-)

I suggest ordering the marriage certificate, as it should have his father's name, address, occupation, etc. on it.

Assuming he was born in England/Wales (which could be a big assumption for all I know) I checked the GRO birth index for him. There is no Louis or Lewis Braddock born within several years of 1856. There's none with even the middle name of Louis or Lewis. I think you'll be looking for a man born in Canada, the Americas, maybe India, or somewhere else...

He died 1880.
1879 is before 1880, maybe he had an accident

Thanks Marion, I don't have access to Findagrave and this has helped, now I know that the father was named William.

There were 2 others born in Wortley (the same location Louis married in), Braddock is not a common name in that area.

There is a private tree on Ancestry that suggests he may have been born in France.

I can't find him in England in 1861 or 1871. In 1881 his wife Eliza was a widow.

I haven't found any private tree that suggests that he was born in France, I couldn't find him in the 1861 and 1871 census, however, I did find a family in Sheffield, father William, Wife Ann, Son George L, and Son William H, I will further research the family.

Thanks for the Findagrave link.
