Anderson B. Blackstone, 72, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Carrie Parker in the Old Hundred community near Fork Shoals at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He was seriously ill for four weeks and in declining health for some time. Born and reared in Pickens County, he was a son of the late J. H. and Elizabeth Breazeale Blackstone. At one time he lived in Birmingham, Ala., and for a number of years in Gary, Ind., where he was employed at the U.S. Steel mill. He retired eight years ago and had since made his home near Barksdale in Laurens County. Mr. Blackstone was a Baptist. His wife, Mrs. Clyde Tucker Blackstone, died in 1944. Survivors include one brother, Hamp Blackstone, Piedmont; four sisters: Mrs. Lou Roberts, Laurens; Mrs. Tempie Bolt, Ware Shoals; Mrs. Carrie Parker and Mrs. Alice Finley, Pelzer, Rt. 3; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 5 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home by the Rev. J. M. Dean and the Rev J.B. Abercrombie. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Six nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Bible Class of Welcome Baptist Church of Laurens and Arthur Bramlett, Dr. Frank Culbertson, Dr. Malcolm Cook, Dr. Dwight Smith, L. E. Weisner, Homer Owens, Brooks Davenport, Dacus Norris, Larry Broome and E. E. Weisner. The body is at the funeral home.

in the obituary of Anderson Blackstone it mentioned my great grandfather Hamp Blackstone. (Wade Hampton Blackstone) do you have any pictures of these Blackstones or any other information.. thanks
