Looking for info on CAIN {James b~1799 & Rebecca b~1798(Hutchinson)} PRIOR to coming to Canada from Ireland.

  • arrived in Canada sometime after 1828
  • settled as farmers in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada 
  • Children : Samuel (~1828 Ireland); following children born in Ontario, Canada - William (~1833), Rebecca (~1835), Agnes (~1837), Frances (Fanny) (~1842), Priscilla (~1844), Susan (~1846), James (~1849), Margaret (~1849)
  • may have had Cain relatives in Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada (unconfirmed)
  • unable to find any direct links to Ireland (ie. parents, siblings, birth location, passenger list)
  • last name may have been Kane, Cane, or similar
  • living Cain descendants in our line are female which limits DNA research to date 
  • are there any living male James Cain descendants who can assist or who have already taken a y-DNA test?
  • Help please!!

I would remove the simcoe county tags and put DNA instead, you may get better responses that way.  I presume you have a census showing that family?
