American painter Jim Moon has passed [closed]

Question

The American painter Jim Moon (Museum of Modern Art, etc) has died 5 Jan 2019, age 90.

I would welcome any assistance in connecting him to our WikiTree. His parents are listed in the profile biography. I know that his father farmed.

Thanks, Deb. I've always believed his Moon family were distant cousins of my Moon ancestors from that same part of North Carolina, probably intersecting pre-Civil War, but we never got a chance to explore that.

Super awesome work, Deb. I cannot adequately express my thanks and now know Jim and I were 7th cousins once removed via Mendenhall line. I'll do some more work to see how connected the two Moon lines are.  Again, thanks.
