What's up with Family Search?

For the past 3 days, whenever I go to Family Search, it will show me their list of records for an individual, but when I click on a specific record, I keep getting the same message "Record information is not available. Please try again later."  I've tried several different individuals and several different records, to no avail.

Is anyone else having this trouble?

I see that from time to time.  Usually the refresh button does the trick.  Sometimes it goes on for an hour or so.  I think it's a traffic issue on the FS servers.
I think the site times you out. I have had it and it resolves once you log in again.

Had that happen a couple of times. You likely need to refresh your browser if on a PC.

Refreshing browser doesn't help.  I even tried a different browser and I turned my computer off at night, then rebooted in the morning and it continued to happen.
Very common on cloud based data sites, I see this in Ancestry and myheritage sites refresh almost always fixes the data

I've been on FamilySearch, digging into sources, several times over the past few hours, and I have not had that problem. Hope it works out for you soon.

I've had it for a couple of days, too.  It started day before yesterday.  It was working fine until late afternoon or early evening, then started.  I've seen that before, but only for a few minutes at a time, however this time it has been continuing all through yesterday.  I haven't tried it today yet.

The scary thought occurred to me that they're about to remove this and start charging to see it.

If the drop down doesn’t work the view button to the right next to the camera button usually does. Quirky!
Marion - your suggestion about the view button works like a dream!  Thank you so much!

Karen
WOW - that is amazing!  It never would have occurred to me to try clicking that.  THANX a million, Marion.
You’re welcome

Mine also started day before yesterday. Refreshed, turned it off overnight rebooted again today.  I even tried Marion's suggestion of clicking near the camera icon. All it does is spin and says record information not available try again later.  This is my third day of trying later.

I just used spy bot and tried again on family search still doesn't show me anything for sources the chart next to the camera doesn't either.  Thanks to everyone for trying to best  to help.  Appreciate it so very much!!!

If I remember correctly, I received a message recently that FamilySearch.org is undergoing some changes to improve the site. Perhaps there are some bugs or glitches they are working out as they update. For me, this morning, everything on the site was greatly enlarged from what it was before and the navigation is a little strange. I've been away most of the day but just logged into it to view an image and it still looks much different than it did yesterday. Hopefully your issues will work out shortly.

I saw that too Nelda only thing I've noticed (which I'm not happy about)  is middle NAMES in capitals, and census addresses only showing half the occupants

Mine has been doing this for several days now.  Something is very wrong.

I come up with this when I search a record for sources.

Andrea - I clicked on your link and went straight to Andrew Mann 1860 Census.  Hope these glitches get worked out soon.

I use it every day and have not noticed any problems. It works fine on my Windows 10 OS with the Firefox browser.

Well, it's STILL not working - for the 3rd day - on my Win 10 using either Edge, IE, Firefox, or Chrome … but Marion saved my day!!!
I think it could be a problem at your ISP because it works fine for me.

I reported the problem to family search.

Their answer to me

"but this is a known system wide issue.  The engineers are aware of it and are working hard to get it resolved."

So obviously the problem is with their website, not browsers isp etc.

When the "Record Information is not available" comes up, I right-click on the link & open in a new tab, which has worked every time.

I’ve been resorting to this too. I can get search results, but not expand them  or get the source citation unless I open it in a new tab.
