My great grandmother, Ruby Hilda Willis, was born in hackney in 1898. She came over to Canada, on the Tunisian. This was in 1912. I believe she stayed with Francis Willis in Ontario. The ship's arrival was in Peterborough. I can't find any good info on her. She was very quiet about her past, though she inherited approximately $5000 after she got to Canada. Her family wanted her to come back after a few years, but she had to convert to Catholicism. She did not return to England, instead at some point she moved to Michigan. She spoke about an Aunt Emily Bosch. Any connection or answers? Lived in nunney farm manor house, used to describe, bridge at castle nunney and beautiful staircase at the house.
