May a phased DNA kit be used for a third-cousin confirmation?

I was not able to get my father tested but do have my mother's test. May I use a phased kit to confirm my father's ancestors with a match to a third cousin or closer of his without triangulation? In other words, is such a phased kit equivalent to having my father's kit for the purpose of confirmation? If so, may I enter my phased kit on his profile as Other auDNA? I am not asking to extend confirmation beyond third cousin. There doesn't seem to be any discussion of phased kits on the DNA Confirmation page and previous G2G discussions do not seem to have resulted in a definite answer.

Sounds quite reasonable IMHO. A phased kit basically isolates DNA from each parent, which is one generation back from you. However, WikiTree DNA Confirmation Rules aren't nearly so nuanced.
