These are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hi Glenn,

Your suggested sources, https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/d/a/l/Robert-Dalton-REDLANDS/WEBSITE-0001/UHP-0322.html and http://www.davidorr.name/family/dew.htm, are tertiary sources, at least one of which appears to cite the sources it was built from (e.g., North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868) and thus is helpful in finding actual primary and secondary sources you can count on and cite directly.

We have the Virginia Project for work on Virginia profiles (pre or post 1700), please join us if you have an interest in Virginia:

Please see our page for sourcing Virginia profiles here:

Note that abbreviations are not to be used for place locations, so please correct the use of VA and NC in that profile.

Here is info on John Dew's birth county:

Please feel free to add more sources to the Isle of Wight page if you have them for that county.

Thanks.

-William

I see a comment on the profile that it may not be ready for a merge? And the sources appear to be web sites with unsourced information?
