Titles like a G6?

Question

Ages ago we talked about improving the title system on G2G. As mentioned before, they're totally cosmetic. You earn points for asking and answering questions and we can have a certain number of points give you a certain title.

Just a thought - what are the increments - if the starting level is 6,000 pts?

Would it be something like 6,000; 10,000; 20,000 etc?

Or is this the only level - 6,000 or more.

Hi. The increments for titles in G2G start at just 300 points. You get "G2G1" for 1,000 points. "G2G2" for 2,000 etc. After 6,000 they go from 10,000 and up. The badge is different, though. Right now we just have one badge and it's hard to earn.

Good morning, my thinking went - what is the purpose of having a points system? I assume there are several ….to encourage active, visible participation, help others identify those people who make major contributions etc etc – so for me however the awards are made and however they are named they should support their purpose. Blimey, that sounds pompous but I hope you get my drift.
