Lindsay's in New Zealand

A branch of my family emigrated to New Zealand in 1800s from Glen Clova and Angus in the 1800s. Worked as a gold miner and then became a farmer.
John 1838-1930 m.Ellen Galbraith
Son Thomas.Ortago 1904
William b.Ortago 1906
James b.Waikowaioaiti 1908-92.
Hope there are Lindsay's out there who find we have a connection. My Greatgrandfather James b1812 went down to Manchester married there which is where my Grandfather Andrew James was born. 1858.
Regards Ann Ross ne Lindsay.

Ann, I suggest you edit this post and tag it lindsay and new_zealand. Then all the Lindsay researchers and New Zealand researchers will see this post.

Thank you Fiona. You will think I am woefully ignorant( which I am ) but how does one go about tagging a post? This technical age has virtually passed me by.Am 82 and enjoying trying to build a familytree.. Am struggling but finding people are extraordinarily kind and generous with their time. In particular Sue Barrett in Australia.
Regards Ann Ross ( Lindsay )2105.
It looks like it was done for you. Ann, you do it when you ask or edit the question in the box called tags at the bottom. Good luck with your research and computer skills. We are all life long learners.
