Do you want to become an England Project Member in 2019? [closed]

The England Project is an exciting place to be at the moment, we have a few hundred active members improving and creating English Profiles. We have a strong sense of community and teamwork and a great structure so members both new and old work in their areas of interest. We connect, source, and improve bios in our Counties. We correct data errors and encourage ONS and OPS studies, and we grow our own branches of the tree among many other things! Does this sound like something you would like to be part of?

Not only is England an exciting project to be part of, but its unique Orphan Trail will help integrate you into the team. The trail has a two fold benefit, it improves the health of our tree and, if you need it helps you with profile formatting and/or using some quirky English sources!

This is a unique way to join a project, but it’s fun and helps you make connections with members who can help you with your own interests.

If you are interested in joining us this year please Answer below this post (not comment). I will respond by inviting you to the England Google Group which is how we all communicate. When you’re on board we will let you know how you start your Trail.

Every improvement to every English Profile benefits our Global Tree and we look forward to having you on the Project.

Yes, I would like to become an England Project Manager for Stubbs from Cheshire
Hi,

Could you please add me to the project?

Thanks Holly
MY Mother was English. I studied ALL of English Literature's major and linear connections to that nations thinking.

My Dad was German mainly and Jewish, some of which people could be English by nationality if not by culture, a point of ambiguity.

I'd like to be part of the England project.

Hi Roberta,

This G2G post is closed. If you'd like to join the England Project, you can express your interest by submitting an answer (not a comment) on the current England Project G2G post.

Rick (Peterson), Hi, So is G2G part of Google?

And

I DO want to join the England Project, and I by rights should want to join the Germany Project too. As someone else asked: I'm concerned about the tasks and how much time each project would take?  More important what is the kind of "good it will do" for a person if the proper amount of time is spent.
Hi Roberta,

G2G is part of WikiTree (not part of Google). But WikiTree profiles and G2G posts may (hopefully!) be indexed by the Google search engine and returned in Google search results (just like any other publicly viewable web pages on the internet).

Re: joining WikiTree projects, I'd suggest checking out the activities associated with each project and request membership to one to which you feel that you can contribute meaningfully and have the time to do so.
I am really interested in The England Project, several of us think our immigrant ancestor most likely was English.  We have several members with Y-DNA connections.

Hi,  I would like to be added to the England project as I begin to move my American lines back to England origin between 1640 - 1820.  Thank you,  Rob Edgeton, [send me a private message]

Hello:  my name is Allyn Pratt and I am researching for my Pratt ancestors.  I believe my ancestors are from the area in and around Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, England.  I have some evidence that Macuth Pratt is the ancestor that was the emigrant to Weymouth, MA. in about 1637?  My research will focus on Macuth, his parents, family and his ancestors.  I ask to join the England project to achieve the mutual support and sharing of information.  Thank you, Best Regards, Allyn Pratt.

Hey England Project people,

I would love to join your project. My family moved to the US during the colonial era but are mostly from Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. I have a lot of experience with pre-1700s research and I would love to continue with the support of this awesome group.

As I am about to move further back in time on here, I think I need to join this project, please.  I have nearly 3000 profiles to add to wikitree so my time to work on unrelated profiles is rather limited.

Hi,

I would like to join for 2 reasons.

1) I just hit an ancestor on my father's side of the family who is from England (Richard Sabin b.1589 England)

2. My maternal grandfather was born in England and we have very little information on his family as he was adopted from there and the orphanage apparently burnt down long before any of us thought to search for information.

Thanks,

It has just been recommended that I join this group as I am stuck on some information about my family line going back to late 1600's early 1700's and I would LOVE to learn more about research and doing it correctly.

I completed the pre-1700 test and I am SO GLAD that I did as its raised questions that I need answered before I can update our tree.

Our family lived in the Kettering area in Northamptonshire & then moving onto Chelsea before they all jumped ship and ended up in Tasmania, Australia.

Hope you will have me.

Big thanks to Susie Macleod for recommending the group.
