This really is great. Thank you, Peter!
I am starting to receive inquiries from 2nd and 3rd cousins who took a DNA test, saw that I was related to them, then googled me and found me on WT. Both my wife and I have been able to develop new lines to our trees which is great of course. At first I didn't quite understand how DNA could play a role in genealogy, but now I can see how valuable it will be for all of us.

This is great!  We are starting to have even more cousins taking DNA tests - results from those who were given test kits as holiday gifts are already showing up and we can expect the numbers to swell.  If each of those who have their DNA test connections setup on their own profile can get just two cousins to add connection to their profiles, we will triple the number.

Peter, how many of the 19,579,514 profiles represent LIVING persons?

There are 104,824 DNA test takers in WikiTree.  Some of those test takers have died since taking their test.

Which is more frustrating, waiting for Ancestry to start processing a sample that was sent in three weeks ago, or waiting for Godot?  frown
