How do I remove a duplicate person in tree

Just merge them.

you cannot remove any profile. If you find a duplicate you can request a merge. You need to merge to bigger number into the smaller number. Once the merge goes though you can clean up the biography.

Actually, you can clean up the biography during the merge process, if you want to.
