On GEDCOM compare list excludes living relative birthdates

Question

I have a lot of "place holder" family names in my GEDCOM that I want to upload, but was instructed to SKIP any without dates. So as I'm going through doing that I notice that nearly all of my living relatives birthdates aren't listed even though I KNOW those dates were in my GEDCOM--even my own. So now what? I don't want to skip all of those or add them individually...that's A LOT of work.

Hi Karen,

What software do you use for your family history/to create your GEDCOM? It's possible the settings prevented the dates of living people being included when you created it.  You might want to try creating a new GEDCOM to see if you can include the dates of the living.

Thanks for your response. I use Legacy and went back to check the GEDCOM exporting privacy settings. Nope...they're NOT set to exclude living people. The birthdates/places didn't come across for ANY of my living relatives, including me. I'm so analytical that it's a bit disheartening when an issue makes no sense.
