Would Roll of Honor bless project called Florida_Vietnam_War

Question

I started a new category named Florida_Vietnam_War. It profiles individual MIA & KIA from Florida. I'm in the beginning stages and would like to know if Roll of Honor has any objections.

Tags are your friend. I think you should add a Roll of Honor or Military and War tag to get them to notice your G2G post.

I noticed on their page that they are soliciting requests for sub-projects, which is what I think you are proposing. They also discuss in Google Groups. If I were you, I would join the main project, then propose the sub-project. You can add your proposal to their project page here:

The sub-projects must place the emphasis on the members not a location. We seek to high light the military member not the location.

Under the Vietnam section, there is a subcategory called Memories of Men. Under that, three of us, one from 3 different states, are listing Vietnam Veterans profiles, MIA, KIA.

Categories do not belong to The Roll of Honor Project.. we use space pages with specific categories that directly match the free space pages - the categories linked to the space pages are the only ones the Project recognizes.

We avoid any projects that make the focus on a location rather than the military and his achievements. The focus should never be placed on a location. So the answer is no, The Roll of Honor will not endorse sub projects that place the focus on a location that reduces the sacrifice/honor of the military member.
