Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

If you are interested in people who are famous, notable, noted, significant, important, historic, heroic, or otherwise fascinating, then the Notables Project might be for you!

The idea behind this post is for anyone who needs help with connecting Notables to the tree to post to this thread and ask for help, or if you want to tell us whom you have successfully connected up, or if you want to join the Notables Project and get a badge.

Besides checking out the Notables Project page, don't forget to take a look at the Notables List page, where you can find lists of Notables who have profiles which aren't yet connected to the main tree. (For ideas on way to connect unconnected people and branches, see the Hints and Tips on the Connectors Chat page.)

Notables should have a Wikipedia entry (or an entry in some other encyclopaedia) to qualify as "notable".

Please remember to concentrate on those Notables who are deceased, so that we can see their profiles. If you create a profile for a living Notable, that profile WILL GO UNLISTED and noone can see it except for the PM and anyone on the trusted list!

If you manage a profile for any living notable, please replace any Notables categories on that profile with [[Category:Living Notables]], to help clear out profiles that people can't work on from the various Notables categories, and also keep all the living notables in one place to make them easy to find, should the need arise.

Wikipedia has a list of those who died last month, and another of those who have died so far this month. (You can even find a list of people who died this month last year.)

Have fun!!

I recently made a profile for guitarist extraordinaire Reggie Young who died one month ago today. And I connected him.

Lately, I'm working on a group of 5 officers from the US Colored Troops in the US Civil War from Louisiana. I've yet to connect the second of the five officers, 2nd. Lt. V. Lavigne, and would love some help. I came across a family cluster of Notable New Orleans musicians, so now there's several Notables still needing a connection! Including:

I am interested in improving notable James Duane's profile.

Which James Duane are you referring to?

The Lawyer born in 1959 and currently teaching at Regent University in Virginia,

or the Lawyer who died in 1797 and was a mayor of NYC as well as being involved in the newly founded congress of the USA.

And is there any particular reason why you did not use the March Notables thread?

https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/779873/notables-march-2019?show=779873#q779873

Not that I am complaining, but this is the month of March and not the month of February. I really do not want to go back to cold weather and freezing snow. I want to look forward to spring!! LOL

(sorry - that's my sense of humour busting out...)
The James Duane who died in 1797.  I was disappointed to find such a slim profile.  My interest isn't familial, I am interested in Duanesburg history.
