Is Daniel Paddock (born New York 1747) a Mayflower descendant?

I think this Daniel Paddock is attached to the wrong parents.  No one in my family has ever mentioned any Mayflower ancestors and Daniel was born in New York while the people listed as his siblings were born in Massachusetts. There is a different Daniel Paddock (son of Nathaniel and Eunice Paddock) who was a Mayflower descendant, born in Plymouth, MA in 1754.  The children of David Paddock and Mary Foster attached as parents to Paddock-84 are  listed in the Harwich, MA town records and don't include a son Daniel.  Can anyone help me clear this up?

Indirectly related point, the PGM "ancestor" (perhaps not an ancestor if current parents are incorrect) has parents who are most certainly fictitious. This family is known to have been tampered with by Gustav Anjou.

Daniel's parents are not correct per Settlers of the Beekman Patent 9:842. He is listed in this source with wives Helena Shoefelt and Abigail Wood, with a birth year ca 1745. His parents are William Paddock bor ca 1715 and Ruth Bell.

I've added another source as well, the ''Paddock Genealogy'', which also supports his father, William, as well as wives and vitals

I will add the source to his profile.

Since neither of the profile managers have been active on WikiTree in over 1.5 years, you might want to get on the trusted list for Daniel's profile. It is possible (but further research should be done) that his father's profile is [[Paddock-784 | William Paddock]]

The profile also doesn't have any sources for parents. The Find-a-Grave reference doesn't support the profile, either. I would say it needs lots of work.

Despite posts on the profile and this G2G thread from last year, there has been no response from the profile managers. I propose to disconnect the incorrect parents and attach the correct ones.

A good way to proceed on this is to add a Research Notes heading to the bio, before the Sources heading, and under that add a Disputed Origins subheading. Within Disputed Origins show the incorrect parents with their WikiTree profile links. After that, detach them as parents in the data fields.

I have removed David and Mary as parents and added a “Disputed Origins” section.  Perhaps someone with more knowledge of (and sources for) William and Ruth Paddock would like to connect them as his parents.
