Sailor kissing woman in iconic VJ Day photo at Times Square dies at 95

George Mendonsa, the sailor who was photoed kissIng Greta Zimmer Friedman in Times Square. The photo was taken on Aug. 14, 1945, which is known as V-J Day, the day Japan officially surrendered to the United States in World War II. Several people came forward saying they were one or the other of the couple, but facial recognition technology confirmed Mendonsa and Friedman.
