Wm. J. Chapman Father of William Jefferson Chapman?

My great gr. grandfather William Jefferson Chapman, born in Tennesee 1857-62? died in Wyoming in 1928....

looking for ties to the James Henry Chapman Family from Blanco County Texas. I believe the two were brothers. If so, J.H. chapman's parents on his death certificate are listed as William Chapman and Elizabeth 'donis' or Davis' depending on how you read the handwriting. These names were listed as family in my grandmother's (Dora Mabel chapman-Shaner) bible. she stated that family trips were often made to the Chapman Ranch in Texas when she was a little girl.

Anyone have any info on these Chapmans? James Henry married Cordelia Ann Cox and they are buried in the Masonic Cemetary in Blanco County Texas. I would like to be able to take this family back at least one generation and if the two were brothers or cousins it would be a good starting place. Thank you, please contact me at
