I am 15 degrees from Teddy Roosevelt. Anyone closer?

Question

My connection to Teddy is through Daniel Stewart's wife, Sarah Hines, who was the brother of my ancestor, David Hines.  Sarah and David's father was James Hines.  Teddy and I are not related through our Hines family connection as he was descended from Daniel Stewart's other wife.

8th cousin, 3 times removed.  Find I am related to almost all presidents to some degree. Comes I think from tracing several lines back to 1600s.

According to the connection chart, when Sarah Hines was born, her great-grandfather was only 56 and his sister was only 20.  (The generational chart is much better than the default chart)

Currently I’m 18 degrees but this will likely get closer as time goes on. Daniel Stewart is connected to a couple of my Stewart branches, but this connection has yet to be linked on Wikitree. At present, I’m his ninth cousin, 6x removed.

Supposedly a 9th Cousin five times removed but it’s through https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Abernathy-704 and there’s no actual evidence he’s the father of Robert Anthony Sr , my 8th grandfather. He gets me related to a lot of interesting people but I always think, yea prolly not.

20 degrees, only two marriages (going back to colonial times and back down again).  

But there's another connection - my great-grandmother worked at the Rough Riders Hotel (called the Metropolitan Hotel at the time) in Medora, North Dakota.  This was in the 1880's when she was a teenager and a recent German immigrant. Teddy Roosevelt was spending a fair bit of time in the Medora area and gave a speech at the hotel, but I don't know if she saw him then.  He had a ranch in the area, now part of the Teddy Roosevelt National Grasslands (locally called the Badlands, and every bit as impressive as the Badlands Nat'l Park of South Dakota, but in a different way).

As degrees no unfortunately. But as a Masonic Brother, yes. Mr. Roosevelt entered Freemasonry in 1901, at the Matinecock Lodge #806. Oyster Bay, New York. He was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason the same year. A very supportive member of Freemasonry, he would often visit lodges where ever he went.
