Advice before editing this pre-1700 Lake profile? [2]

+1 vote

I have information to contribute to the profile of Ann (Lake) Stillwell. This is what I can add:

  • This person may not have existed. If she did exist, she may not have been married to Thomas Stillwell. It is a subject of ongoing research.
  • Pending further information, I may remove Ann Lake from Stillwell-1175's profile.
  • I want to clean up Stillwell-1175 prior to merger with Stillwell-411.

These are the sources I am using:

  • Hay Genealogy, correspondence with Donna Hay who sent information from Dr. John E. Stilwell's book, volume 3. which is considered to be more authoritative among genealogists that some other sources.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!
