Help with Translating a German Obituary - Jacob Wagner - North Dakota

Question

 I was wonder if someone could help me with translating an obituary from German to English?  My German is poor and the old style font also throws me for a loop.  Jacob had 14 children, so it would be of help to many descendants!

"Jakob Wagner was born on 7 Jul 1841 in Effenhar, South Russia. He came with his family in this country and resided near Lincoln Valley, North Dakota, in Oct 1921 he moved to Goodrich. In 1899 he married Regine Redinger. Out of this blessed marriage resulted 14 children, of which 13 are still alive and one preceded the father in death. Our brother in the Lord was converted and baptized by Dr. E. Müller in 1901. He was a faithful part of the assembly of Goodrich until his death. He died 5 June 1922 at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 28 days. Six years ago he suffered his first stroke and two years ago he had his second one. He had to suffer hard times before he could end his life. Although he couldn't speak, he made clear that he longs to be home. The undersigner preached at the funeral service about John 11, 25-26. May the Lord console the surviving members of the family!

There are no names of the children listed in this obituary. Probably there was not enough room for all that in the newspaper. But, considering Jakob and Regine married shortly before they emigrated to the USA, I would think that the children are born in the US. Maybe even that concluded bit can be of help.

One child was born and died on the ship on the way to the US. That had to be a very difficult journey for Jacob and Regina.  The rest of the children were born in North Dakota.

Wagner -- Jacob Wagner wurde ge-
boten am 7. Juli 1871 in Effenbar,
Süd-Rußland. Er kam mit seiner Fami-
lie in dieser Land im Jahre 1900 und
ließ sich nieder bei Lincoln Ballen, R.
Dach., im Okt. 1921 kam er nach Good-
rich gezogen. Im Jahre 1899 verehe-
lichte er  sich mit Regine Redinger. Auß
dieser gesegneten Ehe entsprossen 14
Kinder, wovon 13 noch im Leben sind
und einß davon dem Vater im Tode vor-
außgegangen ist. Unser Bruder im
Herrn wurde bekehrt und von Dr. E.
Müller getauft im Jahre 1901. Der-
zeit war er ein treuest Glied der Ge-
meine Goodrich biß an sein Ende. Er
starb am 5. Juni 1922 im Alter von
50 Jahren, 10 Monaten und 28 Ta-
gen. Vor sechs Jahren wurde er zum
erstenmal und vor zwei Jahren zum
zweitenmal vom Schlag gerührt. Er
mußte schwere Beiten durchmachen, biß
er sein Leben beenden konnte. Obwohl
er nicht strecke konnte, so bat er doch
zu verstehen gegeben, daß sein Sehnen
heimwärtß gerichtet ist. Der Unterzeich-
nete redete bei dem Trauergotteßdienst
über Joh. 11, 25. 26. Der Herr möge
trösten die trauernde Hinterbliebenen!

In 1899 he married Regine Redinger. 14 children sprouted out of this blessed marriage, where 13 are still living and the one who died previously is with the Father. Our brother in the Lord was converted and in 1901 was baptized by Dr. E. Müller. Currently he was the most faithful member of the Goodrich Congregation until his end. He died June 5, 1922 at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 28 days. Before he was six years for the first time and before two years the second time flabbergasted (thunderstruck?). He must have experience hard bides, until he his life could end. Although he could not reach out, so he asked yet to be given understanding, that his soul be directed homewards. The undersigned call to the funeral service over the gospel of John 11, 25. 26. The Lord may comfort the bereaved survivors!
