I found a source that says how the German settlements in Russia are called nowadays

Question

I found a pdf which names a huge amount of German Settlements in Russia, shows with coordinates where they are located and how they are named today. I thought it might be of big help for people who have family there.

Others may have already seen this site but it is an incredible tool separated by colony group. It takes you directly to the location of the settlement. Many settlers moved from village to village, so helpful to visualize or wonder why they moved across the river, etc (usually due to need for more land due to increase in settlers in villages).

There is also a blog search tool that has helpful information as well.

Actually I have no relatives in Russia. But when I translated something I looked if I could find where the respective person was born. And one of the results was this list.
