Clean up required

Question

Reviewing the unsourced profiles for the County of Northumberland, England Category for 1800-1899 reveals an alarming number. Further examination suggest a significant number, though relate to Northumberland, both in Pennsylvania & Canada and is distorting the true picture. Can we have the true situation presented please.

Maggie has already offered to help, but my interest was piqued by your question, I’m the Membership PC for the England Project, but I’m also responsible for Northern England Counties.

Some of the profiles you’ve worked on recently are also areas of interest for the Project and we would be delighted if you would like to join us to work on these?

We will try to sort that out, then. I could be wrong but I think this is referring to all places called " Northumberland"

Hi!

Could you do me a favour as you are going through these profiles?? If you find one for Canada, can you put {{Unsourced | Ontario}} on the top of the profile? I am working on the Ontario list so at some point, it will be tended to!

Similarly, if you find one for Pennsylvania, you can put {{Unsourced | Pennsylvania}} on those profiles, and {{Unsourced | England}} on the others. When the error database is run again it will sort the profiles accordingly and you will have less to work on!

If there is a question as to which Northumberland it is, always feel free to ask the Profile Manager for clarification.

With over a 1000 profiles to review within the period 1800 -1899, then with respect I would rather use my time on wikitree to pursue a more meaningful exercise.

It is possible to have places excluded from the area suggestions reports, I have had the same issue with places called Durham from outside of England appearing the County Durham Suggestions List.

All I had to do was add a note to the DBE Errors By page and Ales modifies the report.

Although I am the England Project Team Leader for County Durham, I am also supporting Northumberland at the moment, so I will add this comment.
