after looking and looking I can’t find anything on a John Hiram Blackstone 1770-1814 this information was shared to me over a year ago with out sources was they a John Hiram Blackstone, J.H. Blackston born in the 1770’s or around the time to have a son born 1812?

I have looked J.H.Blackston, Blaxton, Blackistone, Hyrum Blackstone, I have used all the different ways of spelling the name and still don’t come up with nothing...

they are an Ebenezer Blackstone that had a son Hiram King Blackstone born abt.1820 and Ebenezer Blackstone also had a son Sylvester Blackstone that named a son William Hiram Blackstone b.1858

also been looking and can’t find anything but 1830, 1840 census on a Hiram Blackstone or Blackston born est. 1812 he could have been listed on some military records as some say he was in a War around late 1840’s  and he and other Blackstone men didn’t survive this War to be listed on the 1850 census. What War was around this time in the South? lots of stories but no luck on finding him just listed on them 1830 & 1840 census in Pickens, SC

it just seems all these with the name Hiram are connected some how? I just can’t seem to find that messing link. or how my line ended up in Pickens, SC as early as 1820’s 1830’s was they a War going on that people from up north came down to fight in and if so how do I find a list?

I did see a Nash Regiment list of men that had a Thomas Blackstone that was in the 1812-14 War, this Thomas Blackstone that was in the Nash Regiment are they a way to find out if they keep up with what states these men was enlisted in? Who the wife’s was? Children? State they passed away in? Land Grants? anything to provide information about there Families?

Thanks for any help

I don’t know where else to search all the Hiram Blackstone’s in S.C. areas of Oconee, Golden Grove, Pickens, and Anderson Counties are my set all the John or Hiram or John Hiram Blackstone’s in other states I can’t make a connection to. Some are even born same years or close to my set, seems like a family name passed down, I know from my John Hiram Blackstone 1838-1913 he has some that carrie on the name.
Donnie,

I have no doubt that your line are real Blackstones.  I have a 4th cousin and more distant cousin who descend from Martha Blackstone Simmons in your line, so I know we are distantly related.   I just can't figure out where my tree connects to these distant cousins.   I wish I could help more; I'm just not sure how.

I know I believe some missing brothers need to be found, Edenezer Blackstone is a name I’m going to look in to, I believe they was two or three Ebenezer Blackstones this maybe a clue, and yes I’ve talked to some of the ones that connect to Martha Blackstone Simmons, they know the story about Richard Blackstone that had the daughter Hannah Longstreet Blackstone Riddle that went to Texas, they had a lot of Land around Atlanta before the Civil War, they say, My Mary Blackstone that lost her husband John Hiram Blackstone before 1850 census is said to be buried at Mt Bethel Methodist or Baptist Church in Pickens, SC I couldn’t find her when I went to look for her the Cemetery has Porter’s, and Spearman's buried my Godfather was a Porter and my mom was a Spearman this maybe more clues. I do see some of these Hiram Blackstone’s listed that says they didn’t marrie to after 1850 so my Hiram Blackstone may have moved away but I didn’t see any of them claiming birth in S.C. and don’t see any proof my John Hiram Blackstone born 1812 being born in S.C., I believe some of his children list there father and mother being born S.C. I hope one day we fugue it out,

Thanks for helping me.

This is the Mary Blackstone they was married to John Hiram Blackstone 1812-bef.1850. from what I can tell.

William Blackstone 1767 now this Blackstone-536 he had a daughter that married a Skelton and the Skelton family in S.C. and the Blackstone family of S.C. are related, this maybe a clue. also just don’t see them moving to the Carolinas?

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Blackston-28

This is my aunt her son was raised by a Skelton but that’s all I know now she was born Blackston but married first to a Spearman second to a Byrd  only clues.

I see a Mary Polly Looper born around 1808/15, Looper, Skelton, Trotter, Simmons, Hendricks, Mauldin, Mitchell, are some of the names listed on the census around the Skelton’s still can find the connection to the Blackston or Blackstone Families some of my line in Pickens, Piedmont don’t add the e to Blackstone, it is the same family
