Can someone help me with Ross genealogy

Question

I've tracked my family down to John Ross born in 1789 and died in 1859. He married Susannah McNitt. I need to know if anyone has found any info before 1789 on my ancestors. Please and ty.

these are duplicate profiles, I have recommended merges.  I have added one spouse from the duplicate branch to your branch so at least your branch will be connected to the global tree until the merge happens.

Ancestry trees differ on who the parents are for each of these individuals, there does not appear to be sources that clearly define who the parents are.

I see that Ferguson Township is listed for John Ross.  I was not able to find him listed in Find a Grave.  Also, no burials at all in a township of that name.  It could be that the name was changed to Marengo as there is a Ross Cemetery there.

Found James Ross b1795-1869; maybe a brother.  Also an Andrew Ross b1801...  Sometimes it's easier to trace a family with confidence.

Suggest traveling there and visiting the Church; they may have records.

A not so well sourced Ancestry tree has

and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Beatty-1693 as mother

but have no sources to support connection
