Can't remember where to look for this (I know there is a page for it). What was the name of Munich, Germany, in 1905. German language is not in my skill set, so the suggestions in the location field don't help.

Many thanks!

Excellent! Thank you, Norbert. Wouldn't happen to know the abbreviation for "SS-Obersturmfuhrer," would you (as a prefix)? Working of a profile for Franz Xaver Ziereis, commandant of the Mauthausen concentration camp.
According to Wikipedia he was later promoted to "SS-Standartenführer". The abbrivation is given as "Staf." (and "Ostuf." for SS-Obersturmführer), but I have to say I never heard those abbrevations before or seen them used as abbrevations in german literature.
Thanks, Norbert. You came through for me!
I suspect those abbreviations were mainly used by Nazis in their own documentation. And you gotta admit "Staf" and "Ostuf" is far shorter :)
