The Older She Got The Younger She Became!

Working on this profile made me chuckle and think of the many great women I've known who were all 29.

Mary Ann Husted Luther Wilcox's obit states she was born 1848. The 1850 Census has her born 1843, the 1860 Census has her born 1844 (yes, I know both could be correct), as mentioned the Obit has her born in 1848, but the fun one is her second marriage license when she gave her age as 58 placing her birth in 1853.

Edit: And check out the photo from 1909, two years before she got married the second time at age "58." Ahem. I think Mr Wilcox also had a chuckle (and probably loved her dearly).

LOL!!!!!

I have seen that more than a few times. I had one where she lost so any years per Census she would have been 4 when she had her first child according to the her last Census.

Conversely, I have seen guys get older for their Draft Cards as war approached.

Oh those halcyon days when we could say what we wanted. I myself celebrated my 30th Birthday last fall....for the 30th time. ;)
My uncle just started over each time he reached 39.  He was well on his third time around when he died.
I have been 21 for a very long time.  I was born in 1998 and next year I'll have been born in 1999.  I give new meaning to the word "precocious" - I have three college degrees, all earned many years before I was born.  My grandchildren are all older than me and my children have been old enough to be my parent for a long time.  I discovered the secret to life a long time ago - find the age that's right and just stick with it.  I can testify that it works very well.

The woman's version of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Excellent!

Wink, wink...

I forgot to mention - my birth certificate was issued in 1943, but I was preconceived.
Don't count out the men, my Dad just turned 29 a couple months ago.
Those types of people have no pity for us types who want to figure out our lineage. How rude.

Louisa G (Reid) Savage, Timelord:  According to the 1850 Census, born 1828.  When she got married in 1854, she was still 22, and she was still 22 for the 1855 New York Census.  She was 40 for the 1880 Census.  She died at 75 in 1907.

Her christening record says she was born 15 Jul 1826.  laugh

My mum was 21 until her eldest’s age made it impossible! She wore her age well and was often taken to be a sibling to her children as we got older.

My mum was older than that.  She was 32 - for years, and years, and years... laugh

My mother has been 29 since I can remember. I always thought she was old until she came with me to an open house at my son's school. They announced coffee for the adults and my mother got on line. She got yelled at and told, "This line is for ADULTS only!" She was 40. Maybe they just thought she was immature.
