Hi Integrators Challenge Participants!

It's time for this month's Integrators Challenge. Prior months' stats will be posted soon. Here's the Challenge Tracker Results Page that has up to the minute stats.

To participate:

  1. Answer here (not comment). You can use the Challenge Tracker (preferred) or list your contributions in the comments under your answer here. You only need to post once.
  2. If you opt to use the Tracker you are ready to go.
  3. If you opt to just post in this thread, list the G2G question you worked on and what you did here (answered the question, create a profile, source profile) in a comment on your answer. Number your contributions.
  4. All Challenge activity should involve G2G questions from two months ago or more. If the question is unanswered try to answer it.
  5. Add the URL/Webpage Address of the question used to create the profile(s) under your Answer here when a profile is created to answer a G2G question.

Whatever question you choose, look at the information there and check to see if there is a profile on WikiTree yet. Yes? Move whatever information might be in the question to the profile, and put a link to the profile on the question in G2G so everyone is aware there is now a profile on WikiTree.

No profile? Create one (or a few if several people are mentioned in the question, comments, and answers), and do the same as above.

These are some threads to get you started if you don't want to do some searching on your own. If you use one of these, comment on your post below with which you are working on so you aren't doubling up another's work. Everything should be sourced!

The Monthly Challenge runs from midnight the first day of your month and ends at 11:59 the last day of the month, your time.

Ask any questions you have here in the thread.

I'm not an integrator, nor am I sure I want to participate in the challenge, but I believe I have an answer (or a partial one) to a question from your list.  What do I do with the information I have?  (Other than the extremely broad "I want information on the ancestors of", there was the query "What was her mother's name?"  I believe that's what I can answer.  At least it's a "probable" because it's the only one for the year given on the question and the profile .. and also "probable" because the father's name is different.  If going by the father's name, the birth year is one earlier.)

Hi Melanie, What you can do is post the information here and one of the participants can use it to thee the question asked and to hopefully create one or more profiles for the family line. You are also welcome to participate in the Challenge and use the question to create profiles and integrate the profile(s) into WikiTree.

Heh .. I signed up to do Sourcerer challenge thingy, so I don't think I should try two at once.  I might just bollocks everything.  cheeky

.

Ok, I linked to the question, up there ^.  The profile already exists, so should I link that here as well .. or just my possible answers?

I will ask one of the participants of the current challenge to take a look at your link and see if one of them wants to use it to create profiles from. Thank you, Melanie, and enjoy the Sourcerers challenge.

The profile for that question already exists.  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/McDonald-9843

If anyone wants the information I found, they can contact me.

Please ignore any tracker whatsits from me.  I misclicked again.  frown

So sorry.

Please ignore any tracker whatsits from me, again.

I misclicked again.  blush

So sorry.

I am in for this month since I cannot use the challenger tracker this is the problem:

This is what I get every time for chrome, google, internet explorer, and Microsoft edge too.

This site can’t be reached

wikitree.sdms.si took too long to respond.

I have the same thing since I moved and it started when I got a new email address I think it started at the end of December or first of January of this year and I get all the time when I try to use the tracker. I cannot even get a list of what needs to be corrected even the list of errors even.

Add the URL of the profile you used in the G2G Unanswered questions to create the profiles if the tracker does not work for you. Also under the G2G question used add the URL of the profiles created. Thank you for joining the Integrators Challenge for March 2019.

Welcome back for March, Pip! We appreciate your participation!

Wow, way to go Pip, with 28, and its just the 7th of the month. yes

Hey there, Dorothy!! I found three great questions among all those duds from five years ago with just enough clues to get me started. Susan S adopted the one family I put on G2G, and that makes me so very happy, because when somemone does that it makes me feel like I’m not doing this in isolation. I’m always hoping that a member will adopted, expand, and connect the families we all work on for the Challenge.

That one that has the privacy locked would be a fabulous one. I posted on the profile and PMed the manager who has not been active for a few years. I hope she unlocks it so I can work on it.

Hi David...

Decided to Sign up for March Challenge... because I had answered question here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/623304/her-children-were-stella-vera-ivy  back in Jun 2018. Following up tonight by accident, found out person never answered me nor tried to offer source.

So I tried to locate the children and found a good source for Vera  (Deakin) White. Learned she was a Red Cross Worker. Founder of the Australian Wounded and Missing Inquiry Bureau in the First World War.  She sounds interesting; maybe will find more sources!!

So I added her profile to WikiTree and posted a comment to that question. New profile here...https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Deakin-340

Will try to find the other siblings as part of this month's challenge.

Yeah, almost all those anonymous posting never give a response, do they? Good for you for forging ahead!
Thank you, Dorothy, for joining the March Challenge. We appreciate you!

I am sticking my foot in.  It seems that some of these challenges are interdependent.  I have the tracker in use.  May need to wade in the baby pool a while until I get the hang of it.
