James was married before he was transported to Botany Bay.   he remarried Emma Burke, at Goulburn Nsw Australia in 1848. He and Emma had 9 Children at Goulburn. James died in Goulburn after shooting himself November 1880. It was said he couldnot gon living without his wife who died April 1880 at Goulburn. James was my gr/grandfather. I would love to be able to help you but I am unsure of the question you are asking?

You seem to know a fair bit about your ancestors.  Why don't you join wikitree and add the details of your ancestors to the tree?  http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/About_WikiTree

Are you loooking for details of the first wife?  If you check the convict indents at the Nsw state records www.records.nsw.gov.au you may be able to find details of his origins.  That may help to trace him back in England etc.

If you can provide more details of your exact question we may be able to help you more.
