I received following GEDCOM code after entering my test info from Ancestry.com KF5720140. write this number down

I entered this code and received the message that it was not recognized. Did you enter prefix. I had not.

I then attempted to edit on Wiki, adding an A then got message format was wrong... could only have 1 or 2 letters followed by numbers.

Any suggestion for a solution?

Hi Bruce,

Are you trying to upload a GEDCOM or enter your DNA with a GEDmatch or Ancestry kit?

I've been having the same problems myself. In fact I've been having problems in Gedmatch trying to edit some stuff in my profile. I wanted to link that up with WikiTree in an url and Gedmatch won't let me. It's a hard site to even find some way of getting any help. I also used the Gedmatch Genesis the newer version and uploaded all my dna info. It's crazy.

It was the Genesis version I was attempting to use. It gave me the number with 2 letters in front of the number. Wikitree will not allow a third but wants a prefix added to indicate which type of test, Ancestry.com add an A etc., seems like a vicious circle. You  need a prefix but this creates an error message. Without the prefix the test cannot be recognized. I am at a loss.
