How can I access the template to make a Khmer language sticker?

I speak Khmer language and I would like to make a sticker to put it on my profile. Genealogy is not very well established at all here and there are big issues with accessing information for obvious reasons, but I am intending to put the immediate genealogy of my Khmer partner online and encourage some others to do so as well. Having a language tag could be useful.

Can anyone help?

If you provide the translation for the following lines, I will fix the template for you. Leave the formatting in place if possible so I can make the correct category links.

This user '''does not understand''' ... (or understands it with considerable difficulty).

This user can contribute with a '''basic''' level of...

This user can contribute with an '''intermediate''' level of ...

This user can contribute with an '''advanced''' level of...

This user can contribute with a '''near-native''' level of...

This user is a '''native''' speaker of ...

 Hi Steven,

If you could fix the template it would be great. The sentences you have asked for in order from top to bottom are:

1/   សមាជិកម្នាក់នេះ'"មិនយល់ដឹង៉៉៉៉"'ភាសាខ្មែរ។

formatting works OK for the first - the but in the quotation marks roughly translates as "not understand" (grammar a bit different)

2/  សមាជិកម្នាក់នេះ"'យល់ដឹងភាសាខ្មែរកំរិតដំបូង"។

formatting does not work precisely. A direct translation of the bit in the quotations marks is "understand (យល់ដឹង) Khmer language (ភាសាខ្មែរ) level basic/beginner (កំរិតដំបូង)". But you cannot really take out Khmer language out of the middle put it at the end or it won't make sense.

3/  សមាជិកមា្នក់នេះ'"យល់ដឹងភាសាខ្មែរកំរិតមធ្យម"'

you might be able to follow now when doing the coding? -- កំរិតមធ្យម directly translates as 'level intermediate'. Adjective comes after the noun! Two more things. Khmer does not have any spaces between words -- just at the end of sentences and this character is a period (។) -- which is followed by a space.

4/  សមាជិកម្នាក់នេះ'"យល់ដឹងភាសាខ្មែរកំរិតខ្ពស់"'

កំរិតខ្ពស់" = 'level tall' (direct translation) or high-level/advanced

5/  សមាជិកម្នាក់នេះ'"ចេះភាសាខ្មែរប្រហាក់ប្រហែលនឹងភាសាកំណើត"'

sorry this one is more difficult to separate for the formatting -- know (ចេះ)  -- Khmer language (ភាសាខ្មែរ) -- similar to a native speaker (ប្រហាក់ប្រហែលនឹងភាសាកំណើត)

6/  សមាជិកម្នាក់នេះ'"ប្រើប្រាស់ភាសាខ្មែរជាភាសាកំណើត"'

this one too -- direct translation -- use (ប្រើប្រាស់) Khmer language (សាខ្មែរ) is a native speaker (ជាភាសាកំណើត)

Hope this all makes sense. I think I could stay here another 10 years and never get to number 5 blush . If I can help with the category links in any way, please let me know! All I can say is that Khmer language makes just as much sense as English does!!

Simon, see Template:User km and Category:Km.

Let me know if I messed anything up or if we need to make some tweaks.

Thanks, Steve,

They look good :)

Much appreciated

I think what you need is the language template
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Languages

with "km" as one of the parameters

Yes, I have done this already, but it suggests I need supervisor authorisation to go any further. I am happy to write the sticker in Khmer language but I don't have permission to.
Well, I have Leader access to the template code - but next to no experience with MediaWiki coding. Looks to me like the relevant bits are picked up from somewhere else...

You know, it might be that the problem is that there are no categories set up for Khmer: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:WikiTreers_by_Language
I think many of the WikiTree team is at Rootstech, try to push this question up to the top again next week.
