How do I detach a private profile?

Filling in my great-grandmother's brother's profile today (R.A Hewitt), I was surprised to find that it already existed. The wife and daughter were totally wrong and undocumented. In fact the only part the owner got right was an admission sheet for Darlinghurst Jail, which I hadn't seen before but which definitely belongs to Bob Hewitt.

It seems to have been filled by a drive-by GEDCOM upload in 2015 and although I managed to detach the erroneous wife, the daughter's profile is marked Private so I can't do anything with it. I doubt that the PM is active, having only uploaded a small number of profiles. I also doubt that a profile marked as Born 1910's is alive today, so it should be public anyhow.

Can someone with a bit of admin clout fix this? I need Hewitt-1681 detached from Hewitt-1682.

By the way, in case there was another (bigamous) marriage I checked both VIC BDM and NSW BDM with no results.
Try adding Admins to your tags, Rob. That might attract the attention of someone who can fix it.
Done, cheers!

There is a specific procedure to follow for inactive or uncooperative profile managers and you do need to follow it first before you can get this resolved.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Unresponsive_Profile_Managers

Request for trust list access, then a private message and then a public comment on the profile managers profile. One at a time, not all at once.

OK, that's good to know. I already sent the PM an email, no response so far. Will escalate soon.

Hi Rob, I would recommend you hold off removing the daughter from the Profile, as the PM has posted a message on Bob Hewett's Profile, It appears that he is her Grandfather, so the person you have removed is her Grandmother, She makes it clear that it was a defacto relationship &, also, Catherine Fahey & Robert Hewett were named on Kathleen's brother Bertram's Death Certificate. It's always wise to collaborate before removing relationships as we don't always know the circumstances.

Eileen,

I know you mean well but I've researched this claim thoroughly and there is zero documented evidence.

Your assertion about a death certificate isn't claimed by the PM at all, is that your own research? Can you document that please? That would at least establish that they were on speaking terms. It might be difficult though, since Bob Hewitt pre-deceased Kathleen's brother by two years.

At this stage I can see no reason to leave Kathleen's record attached to RA Hewitt. However, on the remote chance that it's valid I have offered to verify it with DNA testing. I can't be any more fair than that.
OK, I found the death certificate for Bertram Hewitt under that name. That record has just been added to WikiTree and I hadn't seen it. This changes very little, since there's no corresponding birth certificate in Victoria, South Australia or New South Wales, and the child died two years after Bob Hewitt's death. She could have signed any name without question.

I'll also be investigating whether there were any other Bob Hewitts living in Broken Hill because the address the PM gives doesn't match RA Hewitt's obituary.

Edit: The address the PM mentioned does match the family letter I posted on his profile a few days ago, which is convenient. The quality of newspaper reporting in those days was evidently woeful.
The newspapers reported that he had just returned from Port Pirie. Catherine Fahey was (allegedly, with no birth certificate) born in Melrose, which is very near there. The evidence is starting to match up here.

I'm going to leave it in.
