HELP: Deciphering 1859 script writing of Scottish marriage certificate

Is anyone able to help decipher a 1859 marriage certificate, I have just purchased a Scotlands People marriage certificate however I can not understand the script writing and I need help.

I know David Wishart Smith married Euphemia (Lowe) Smith but trying to confirm what their parents names are, where they were located etc

Also, I am unsure on how to share the photo with you over this question - so I guess I will need to email the picture directly....

A little difficult without the certificate to look at.

Hi @Martin, can you see the image now?   I've uploaded it to his profile so that I could use something to link to
David Smith, Janet Sleeman? George Lowe, but can't get wife's mother although she seems to have an alternative married name of Cairns?
But got it. Euphemia Lowe born 15 August 1838 Haddington father George, mother Marion Cairns. What looks like a first name is deceased for the father.

See FamilySearch.
There is a marriage of a David Smith to a Janet Shadden in Kilmarnock in 1819.

Hi Martin,

I have managed to find much information on Euphemia's parents "George Lowe" & "Marrion Cairns" which is just wonderful (thank you so much for your help in decoding).

Stuck on the names of David Wishart Smith's parents - You've said it looks like David Smith & Janet Sleeman but could be Janet Shadden as you pointed out.  I have found the marriage certificate on Scotlands People but I am unsure that would prove them to be the parents (plus I am confident I wouldn't be able to read the certificate at all anyway).     I have been searching for information on the 2 for some time now, trying to find birth of children to confirm the link but have been unsuccessful, only been able to find the birth of a daughter, Marion Smith, and a son, Stephen Smith, to David and Janet but no David…...

Its been spoken about through the family that the middle name ‘Wishart’ was actually the mother’s maiden name – but which mother I am unsure and it also could be a fictitious thing passed through the family, however it does seem odd that all of David’s children had the middle name Wishart (as well as his own).

I feel like I am rambling now, but just trying to work out who David Wishart Smith’s parents are & minimise inputting incorrect information into Wikitree.

Would be much simpler had they not had the last name SMITH

Hi Marion,

Thank you for your response and contribution, the David Smith's you have listed here would have only been 14/15 at the time of the marriage to Euphemia Lowe, which rules them out as the certificate states that he was aged 22.

Would have been interesting had the first David you listed be the correct entry as his wife's parents names were George and Marrion as well.

Thank you for taking the time to help.
