According to the Stewart Clan Magazine March 1930 Vol VIII No. 9. he was born Jan 16, 1761 on "Drounding Creek," and went to war in place of a man named Morehead. He saw no action and was discharged on 6 August 1783. In 1785 he "removed to Barnwell County SC. On 1 October 1789, he married Ann ____born March 27, 1773.  About 1791 they moved to Georgia, and then in 1818 to Montgomery County, AL. He died 14 February 1842, A Martha Pipkins was mentioned as his daughter in 1856, aged 56 years old.

Unfortunately, The Charles Stewart you posted is not the same person. They were perhaps cousins.
