Need info on Albert Ernest Baker my gfather died in australia 1967 parents unknown he had 11 children w: Gwendoline Helen Smith, my dad one of them....He was a Motor driver in 1928 when he got married told family he was an Orphan not sure where... a few years after marriage he was a shunter in the Islington NSW Australia area. Need birth info if possible and life up to 1928...He told family he was an Orphan from Sydney?  Thanks in advance..

Thanks so much for the info, I have this Cert and it is Edward not Ernest, which is my Grandfathers name....Maybe he changed it or didn't know what it was. I have checked deaths and there is an edward there that could match...Is there a list of Orphanages, I have checked some...I have been looking for some years now and can't believe I can't find a trace of him..I need help if possible, if you can, thanks so much already....My Dad is in his eighties now and I promised I wouldn't give up....

I purchased that Cert and the name on it is Edward not Ernest and in the 1932 Census of Newcastle and Burwood show this person in two places at once voting the same year. Albert, my Gfather was married with two small children in Newcastle, Islington. While the other Albert was voting in Burwood.
