Sorry, Edward.  What are you trying to interpret?
Thank you Herbert,

I'm so confused right now that I cant think straight. After finally getting ny DNA tests in correctly I waited the 2r4 hrs + and then when I looked it said in one place Great GrandParents and the names are as I expected. Then at another place it said Pulaski was my Grand Father as I expected. My question is does these two messages say that they confirm this?

Now on 23andme they are telling me that "Cox" is a name in my lineage. I don' know of any Cox's in my lineage and this seems to me it contradicts what my families have told me all my life Edgar J Teston is my father, His father Pulaski Teston is his father, etcetera. I hope I explained this well enough.  Thank you, Herbert

If it's an autosomal DNA test that you took, you will have thousands of matches with various surnames, since you can inherit DNA from, generally, about ten generations back.  When you go back ten generations, you have the potential for 1,024 different ancestors.  Most likely, you haven't identified all of those . . .  laugh

You might benefit from reading about autosomal DNA.  The ISOGG site is a good place to start, with links to much more information:  https://isogg.org/wiki/Autosomal_DNA

Do you mean “great-great-great grandparents”? If so, these are your ancestors five generations back.

I see only an autosomal DNA test on your profile which may help identify paternal lineage but doesn't work the same way YDNA does as that is only passed directly down a line from father to son.

On WikiTree, the "matches" are only as good as the lineages they are attached to. WikiTree doesn't do any raw data comparisons, they just show who else has taken a test that claim the same ancestors that you do.

As far as what you see on 23andme, you are likely to see many names that you do not recognize. My autosomal test at Ancestry shows me matches for many people that I currently haven't a clue how we are connected. I just keep plugging away looking for the elusive connection.
