right... its because you are still a "guest"

soon, a Greeter will come along and confirm your account to grant you full membership

If you go to the home page you created when you signed up, you'll find the greeter has left you instructions to progress to full membership.

If you don't know how to find your homepage, just click on your name in the above post. That will take you to your profile for G2G (these forums). Click on your name again and you'll be on your homepage and can read the messages.
