I have hit a brick wall with who my great grandparents were on both my father and mother's side of the family. My grandfather Frank Davis who changed our last name to Davis after migrating to the US from Russia/Poland in the early 1900s. My grandmother was Tekla Staffa migrated from Galicy.  On my mother's side of the family my grandfather was Frank Bik and grandmother Antonina Warseka both migrated from Poland/Austria.

Do you have a birth year for your grandfather and or grandmother?

Would you know their marriage year and location, such as country, county and or city?

Where did they live in the United States? State, county and or city?

All of this type of information will help pin down a better answer,.
Thank you, I changed the settings to my profile so you can view my family tree. Frank David Davis's birth year 1879 deceased 1959. Tekla Staffa birth year 1880 not certain of the year of her death but about 1920. Frank Bik birth 1876 death 1939, Antonina Warzeka birth 1878 death 1956. I found some census reports for all of them but nothing indicating who their parents or siblings were. I have all of their children's names (my aunts & uncles. I would love to know who my great grandparents names and great aunts and uncles.  Thank you everyone.
Frank and Tekla David Davis lived in Troy, Rensselaer and Albany, New York. I believe they may have been married in Rensselaer County but I didn't find anything documented on their marriage.

Frank and Antonina Bik lived in Albany, New York. I believe they were married in Albany, NY.

Barbara, your privacy level is too high. It’s your privacy level that’s keep us from seeing your ancestry. If you don’t want us to see that, that’s fine, but for a specific answer to your query you’ll need to edit your post to include a proifle ID of the  person for whom you are requesting assistance. Thanks!

Pip, I'm guessing it is this same question from back in February: Please help me find Frank (David) Davis's Father and Mother?

I just looked and my parents and grandparents are all showing public.  I am not sure what other setting I could use.  I am not sure why you are not able to see Frank David and Tekla Staffa, Frank Bik and Antonina Warseka.  Their profiles are showing public which if I understand the privacy setting correctly that should open my family tree to public view,  Sorry I am new at these privacy settings and what to show as public.
Thank you everyone for your interest in helping me locate my great grandparents and great aunts and uncles.  I do appreciate it and hopefully have a privacy setting that is viewable to all of you now.
Yes, exactly!

Hi Barbara!

Do you have profiles for your grandparents? I couldn't see them through your profile, your family tree isn't viewable.

Thank you Christine,

I changed my privacy setting hopefully you should be able to see their profile now.

Hi Barbara,

No, I still can't see your tree. If you change your Privacy setting to the pale orange or yellow, we will be able to see it. Any locked profiles will show as Private.

Also, while Tekla's profile is open, Frank's is not.

If any of your profiles represent people who have passed, can you please change their Privacy setting to the white Open lock.

Thanks! There are so many people here who can help you, I wish you good luck in breaking down that brickwall :)

Thank you Christine,

I changed the privacy settings,  please let me know if you can now see my deceased relatives?

Yes, individually they are. What I was saying was that you put your own WikiTree ID in the space for the person you are querying about, instead of you putting in theirs. This mean we have to hunt for the profile ourselves.

In the space following this on the query form:

WikiTree ID/URL if this relates to a person or free-space profile:

you have your own ID. In order for us to quickly find the profile your are asking about, that person’s ID needs to be there.
